Since we've been terrible about purchasing Christmas cards, typing newsletters, printing pictures, and/or mailing our warm wishes, we're going to try something different this year. We hope your year has been as blessed as ours, and we pray your next year will be filled with the hope, peace, and joy that God has given us.
Love, Peter, Bindu, and Ava
JAN: We found out the baby was going to be a girl. One of Peter's first comments was "guess we need to save for college because we aren't sending her to West Point".
FEB: Kendra & James invited us to their family's vacation home in Evian, France for a long weekend. It was Bindu's last flight pre-baby. (apparently the Evian water that freely flows is free here, hence the locals collecting by the jug full!)
MARCH: We were so blessed to be able to move from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom flat in Primrose Hill. It feels like a mansion compared to our last place. It is so great to look out the window into our neighbor's gardens (great view with
zero maintenance!)
APRIL: Not sure which was faster -- Bindu's growing belly or the race to get the flat ready for a baby. With no registry or baby shower, we were still so blessed to have everything we wanted/needed for the baby given to us (God is so good!)
MAY: We welcomed Ava Elizabeth Wong at 630am on 4 May, weighing 4.5lbs / 2.2kgs. We were blessed that Peter was able to spend 2 months at home with her before he started working. Peter's mom was also able to visit for 2 weeks to help out.
JUNE: One perk of living in London is getting to see friends coming thru town on business or vacation. This is Jimmy, Peter's roommate from West Point and the Best Man in our wedding.
JULY: was action packed -- Peter's family visited, Ava's first vacation was by train to the Cotswolds, Peter graduated from the 2 year MBA course, and Ava was baptized.
AUG: Bindu's mom was with us for 2 months. It was an exciting time with Ava as she started making noises and smiling.
SEPT: Peter officially started his first corporate job with UBS Investment Bank here in London. We are praying we'll be living in London for the next 2-4 years with an opportunity to move back to the US after.
OCT: Ava took her first flight with Bindu to DC for 3 weeks. She's so blessed to have great-grandparents (Peter's mom's parents). All the family traveled into town to spend time with her.
NOV: At 6 months, Ava's eating solids, sleeping 12 hrs at night, visiting Peter at work for lunch, saying "da-da", and scooting around. Bindu informed her employer she's not going back to work.
DEC: The 3 of us will fly together to DC for 2 weeks to spend the holidays with our families in DC.
