Dr's update

So I had my 33wk check up this week, which produced some interesting results:
- Glucose: we've had a few high readings in the last 3 weeks. Doctors still view this as a one off and are not concerned. So still controlling with the changes in my diet.
- Ultrasound Scan: so i get 3 add'l scans to the one at 12 and 20 weeks. This one was 2 of 3. The scans are not as exciting at this time. And it was actually quite uncomfortable, as they had to bear down ont he baby's head/butt which I think was bruising my tissue as it was quite sensitive the rest of the day.
- The baby is in breech or transverse position, meaning her head is not facing down. A bit of a concern, but nothing to be too concerned about as she could still turn until 36 wks. Otherwise, i'll likely have to have a C-section.
- they felt the baby is a bit on the low side of the weight scale (but nothing to worry about). They feel this is probably due to me being petite, but only felt it is a concern because most babies are big whose moms have gestational diabetes.
-they also felt my ambiotic fluid was very low. Not sure why. thought there might be a tear in my placenta, but the fluid flow there looked normal. they think this may be why the baby has not turned yet but are not sure.
-finally, they noticed wednesday that the baby's neck (which should have been tucked in) was hyper extended backwards, which was abnormal and uncomfortable. Since she did not move when they proked her, they had me do an additional scan today. I saw the head of the clinic who confirmed there was no need for concern and that after doing the scan again that there was no issue. (praise God!)

I have my first class this Sunday at the hospital. Not sure yet what they will cover. Next appointment is in 2.5 wks time on 14 April for the scan at 35/36 wks. We are praying she will be head down. :)

Lastly, still no internet or phone at home... sad times...
