We just had our very first scan. It was amazing, 2 hands, 2 feet, 10 fingers and toes, heart beat... but the baby wasn't going to be cooperative enough to show us whether its got a dong or not.
Apart from Bindu occasionally (every evening, morning, email and phone conversation) acting like she is possessed, i haven't been able to see any changes. seeing that little thing moving around in bin's belly changed everything. i can't believe i'm about to be a dad.
as i was walking home from the fetal medical center reality started setting in. I AM GOING TO BE AN F$#%-ING DAD! unlike the movies, im not panicking about the loss of freedom, but the responsibility is humbling.
i suppose i should give up cursing... thats gonna be interesting. if its a girl, i am going to have to buy more guns f$%# british law... whats more important the chastity of my child or jail. if its a boy, i just need to invest in some larger belt buckles.
we're(probably bindu) gonna post the ultrasound pic soon.

I just read that Dad's may begin to gain weight in this week too! what the hell is wrong with us? anyway, i am trying to put on a couple of pounds so i guess this is a good thing.
ReplyDeletewe also take part in a behavior known as "hatching," is that similar to nesting? it would explain the bombshell of papers that spread the perimeter of my desk aka breakfast table. another simple explanation would be this macro econ paper i have been putting off.
