All is well in Ava-land. She now weighs 5.6kgs/12.3 pounds, which puts her up into the 10th percentile.
She attended her first birthday party for Hector Singh. Hector's dad Graham is a pastor at our church. Hector was also the first of our church's baby boom and was celebrating his first birthday.
It was funny, they tried to get all the kids to take a picture together. Hector was not having it ("It's my party and I can cry if I want to!"). Ava was just chillin' and showing off how well she lays on her tummy.
She's quite the chatty and smiles (hasn't quite figured out how to giggle). She's really trying hard to turn over now. She starts whining with frustration when she cant get over, so I push her and she gets quite excited. Here is a picture of her enjoying tummy time.
I joined the local gym which has a nursery, and today she had her first visit. She was good throughout. I think it is a good introduction to nursery & socializing with others. It is only for 1-2 hours a day. If I can get my act together, I'll try and go 2-4 times a wk as it will be good for both she and I.
