Had my 2nd midwife appointment yesterday. I got to hear the baby's heart beat, which was the most exciting! All my blood & urine tests came back as normal also. My next appt is beginning of Jan when I'm at 20 weeks and where we will get to find out if it is a boy or girl. I'm hoping to reschedule, as Peter will have class he cant get out of. I joked with him saying that I'm going to find out what it is and not tell him. On a side note, Peter's mom had a dream the other day that a tiger was leaning against her leg. Apparently in Korea, when you dream of tigers during a pregnancy, it means a boy will come into the family. I guess we'll find out!
The appt was at St. Mary's Hospital, where I would deliver. Hospital seemed quite dated, but it is close to home, Peter's school, and my work (important trying to get there when I'm in labor and for peter to come to). Not sure yet if I'll change to UCLH yet or not. For my 3:16 appointment, I was called in at 5pm and out by 5:25pm (sad times!).
The 2 things that is sad times about pregnancy: 1) my face is broken out like a teenager and 2) I cant eat some of my favorite foods!! Sushi, Rare steak, certain cheeses, pate, shellfish, certain fish. *sigh*. No cravings for anything except for what I cant have!!
