Thanks Mimi

Mimi is what Ava will (hopefully!) call my mom. Sadly, she just left today after being here for 2 months. I was quite nervous about mom coming here for that long for several reasons: *London/city life is so different from America/Griffin, GA
*I haven't spent this much time with mom since 10 yrs ago when I was living at home in high school.
*Mom and I have very different personalities and methods to how we approach/resolve things.
*I was very nervous about getting lots of "advice" on how to raise a child, esp from someone who has taken care of "8 other babies".

There were a few arguments and tears, but over all I have to admit there were many more good moments that I'll cherish during this special time together. I have always loved and appreciated mom, but you really do see motherhood from such a different perspective once you have a little one. It was neat talking to mom about her experience with Bhavya and I in those first few years.

It was really great to have mom around, as she spoiled me, Peter, and Ava. She's only been gone about an hour, and I find I miss her company and help a lot already. Ava just made poopy and I cant remember the last time I changed her diaper! And the house seems quiet as Ava naps.

So in honor of mom, here's a video clip of she and Ava during "talking time". I think Ava got interested in talking because mom talked to her so much.
