Christening

We had Ava baptized today. We were debating getting her baptized (ceremony with the water) or just dedicated (same ceremony but without water), but finally settled on the infant baptism (thanks to the teaching from Derek Prince Ministries). This does not mean that she will go to heaven; that is between she and God and how she chooses to live her life. But we felt by doing the baptism, we were making a public covenant with God that we were going to bring her up according to His ways.

It was a bit of a manic day, trying to get ready, feed her, change her, and have Peter's parents fly out immediately after the service. Thanks to all our friends and family for coming out. We are quite bummed we never had a chance to get a group picture, but here are some highlights.

Hanging out with Kung-Kung (Peter's dad) and Halmoni (Peter's mom) before the service starts.

Thought this was a cool picture.

Our little angel. :)

It was very fun to have Graham Singh baptize her. She actually stayed sleep thru the entire thing, even when the water was drizzled on her. haha, already sleeping thru church!

Peter's mom found this awesome dress at an antique market here on Portobello Road. The dress is handmade from the 1800s.

LOVE that Peter's sister Hannah was able to join us for the festivities.
